First visit

What to expect at your first visit

Plan on about 45 minutes. You talk with Dr. Hafez, he examines how you move, and he tells you what he found and what the options are. Then you decide what happens next. Treatment starts that day only if you agree.

If your child is under 18, a parent or guardian comes to the visit and stays in the room.

The visit in order

From the front desk to your plan

The same four steps for every new patient.

  • At the desk

You check in and tell us how you plan to pay. We do not ask for health details in advance. Your doctor asks you in person.

  • With your doctor

You talk about your history and what you want from care. Give him the list of medicines you take. He then examines how you move.

  • Your options

He explains what he found, the options, the risks of each and what each would cost. X-rays are taken only when medically necessary.

  • Before you leave

If you agree to a plan, he goes through it with you and the front desk books your next visit. You can also say no or ask for time to think.

Before you come

What to bring and wear

  • Bring

A photo ID, your insurance card if you plan to use insurance, and a list of the medicines you take.

  • Wear

Clothes you can move in. You stay dressed for the exam.

  • For children

A parent or guardian comes to every visit and stays in the room.
