FAQ
Common questions

What happens at my first visit?
You talk with Dr. Hafez about your history and what you want from care. He examines how you move, tells you what he found and what the options are, and starts treatment only if you agree. Plan on about 45 minutes.
Is chiropractic care safe?
Like any treatment, it carries some risk. Some people feel sore for a day or two after an adjustment. Neck adjustments carry rare serious risks, which the doctor explains before any neck adjustment and before treatment begins. If a sudden severe headache, new weakness or numbness, chest pain or loss of bladder or bowel control comes on, call 911 or see a physician before booking.
Will it hurt?
Most people feel pressure or a stretch during an adjustment. Some feel sore afterward, like after exercise. Tell the doctor at any point and he will stop or change what he is doing.
How many visits will I need?
Your doctor sets a plan after the exam and reviews it with you as you go. We cannot say how many visits you will need before then, and you can stop at any time.
Do you take my insurance?
We bill most PPO plans and some employer plans. What a plan pays for chiropractic care varies, so our front desk checks yours before your first visit. The How fees work page has the details.
What if I do not use insurance?
Your doctor tells you the fee for each part of your visit before it happens. You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate, and we give you a written estimate in advance. After a visit we can give you an itemized receipt.
Do I need x-rays?
Only when medically necessary. Many visits need none. If the doctor thinks one would help, he explains why and what it would cost before it is taken.
Can I bring my child, or come while pregnant?
Yes to both. A parent or guardian stays in the room for every child's visit, and the doctor uses low-force methods matched to a child's age and size. We care for muscles and joints and do not treat illnesses. If you are pregnant, please check with your OB or midwife first.
What if I have already seen another provider?
Tell us. With your written permission we can ask for records, and we are glad to work alongside your physician or physical therapist. If another kind of care fits you better, we will say so.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please call as early as you can to cancel or change a visit so someone else can use the time. Ask the front desk about the practice's cancellation policy.
Still have questions?
Call or send a message and the front desk will answer.
